Abraham Hernandez

Facilities Director

Abraham joined the staff in August 2003.

Abraham is originally from Mexico City, D.F. He came to Houston in 1981 and had only planned to stay temporarily for work. However, God had other plans for his life. Abraham started attending a Spanish congregation under the leadership of Pastor Rogelio Lopez. It is there where he accepted Jesus as his Savior and became very involved in the ministry of the local congregation. At that time, there were two congregations, English and Spanish, sharing the same church building. Through the combined services he would meet his bride to be, Mary. They began their courtship in May 1987 and were married in their home church on February 14, 1988, by Rev. Ruby Miller. Abraham and Mary have been married 20 years and blessed with three wonderful children, Rebekah, Joshua and Sean.

Abraham started attending LWN (formerly Spring Branch Nazarene) in February 1993 with his family. His ministry at LWN has included choir and the youth department, where he has served as a Sunday School teacher, sponsor and NYI President.

Abraham’s work history has varied from company to company. His miscellaneous jobs have required experience in mechanical, electrical, welding, plumbing, and basic maintenance and repair. He is a “jack of all trades”.

Abraham’s hobbies include watching sports, swimming, camping, travel, tennis and spending time with family.
