Jr. Rockets Youth Basketball
LW Sports has partnered with the Houston Rockets to host the Jr. Rockets basketball program here in Houston. Our teams are parent/volunteer coached. Youngest ages are refereed by coaches/volunteers, but older teams have Houston based Officials.
Currently we run 2 seasons/year: August-October & March-May
At LW Sports we are dedicated to building self esteem, developing character, creating friendships and learning the physical and mental fundamentals of the game. We offer exciting, competitive leagues, giving equal playing time for all players while having fun and learning the different aspects of the game. Our desire is to provide your child with a positive experience so that they can develop a love for sports in a positive, Christian atmosphere.
All practices and games take place at Living Word Church (16607 Clay Rd, 77084)
Jr. Rockets Basketball
Ages: 4-16* (4-7 are co-ed)
Cost: $75 (Early Bird Rate) — $85 (Regular Rate) -- $100 (Late Rate)
*Space is limited! Registrations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. No refunds (just a league credit) will be given. Age group is determined by the age of the player on Sept. 1, 2020 (beginning of the school year).
With each registration each player will receive:
Jr. Rockets basketball jersey for the season
A FREE ticket to a Houston Rockets basketball game*
AND a chance to go ON COURT at the Rockets game!
Season length: 8 weeks (8 practices, 6 games)
Practices: 1 hour each week on either Sun Afternoon, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs or Fri evenings.
All games are played on Saturdays.
At LW Sports our program is designed to give athletes of all experience levels the opportunity to practice, get playing time, reps and continue to learn and grow as a player. We have beginners to players who play on school and AAU teams. The teams in our program are mixed up utilizing a player draft using the coaches observations of our player evaluations. This gives players the opportunity to play against players of similar skill-sets. High level athletes playing against each other and beginners against each other.
Only site credit will be refunded after a paid registration.
No credits will be issued after evaluation day.
*Note: Rockets tickets have no redeemable cash value and are a free gift that must be redeemed (information provided after the start of the season).
